Chicken Cacciatore has a lot of variation possibilities, here is our version that we make with our Fume Blanc! We keep our recipes loose around here, so make it your own and share your pictures with us!
- 1 Cup Oak Creek Vineyards Fume Blanc
- 2 Cans Tomatoes
- 1 Lrg Can Tomato Sauce
- 2 tbsp Parsley
- 2 Large Onions chopped
- 2 Bay Leaves
- 2 Garlic Cloves chopped
- 1 Large Green Pepper chopped
- 2 Large Chicken Breasts
- salt/ pepper/ garlic salt to taste for chicken
- Pasta Optional
Mix tomatoes, tomato sauce, wine, parsley, bay leaves, chopped onions, and chopped garlic cloves into a large pot.
Bring to a soft boil then allow to simmer for one hour.
As the sauce cooks cut chicken into cubes and season with salt, pepper, and garlic salt.
Brown chicken in a sauce pan.
Add chicken and green pepper to sauce and allow to cook for another hour.
If you are putting your chicken cacciatore over pasta, you should probably go ahead and make that after adding the chicken and pepper to the sauce.
