In celebration of National Rosé Day (June 12th), we've created a light and refreshing rosé sangria with strawberry and rhubarb simple syrup!
For Strawberry-Rhubarb Simple Syrup
- 2 Stalks Rhubarb Chopped
- 1 Cup Strawberries Quartered
- 3/4 Cup Sugar
- 1½ Cup Water
- 1 Bottle Oak Creek Vineyards Rosé Red Blend
- 1/2 Cup Strawberry-Rhubarb Simple Syrup
- 1/2 Cup Orange Juice
- Strawberries and/or Oranges for garnish
Strawberry-Rhubarb Simple Syrup
Mix sugar and water into a pot and bring to a boil.
Add rhubarb and strawberries and allow to boil for about 10 minutes.
Remove from heat and allow mixture to come to room temperature.
Strain off fruit. You should end up with enough syrup for two batches of sangria!
