Syrah Brownies

Sometimes you just need chocolate, and what better way to satisfy that craving than some freshmade brownies paired with a little wine!?

  • 1 Cup Oak Creek Vineyards Syrah
  • Sticks Butter
  • 8 Ounces Dark Chocolate Chips
  • Cups Flour
  • ¼ Cup Dark Cocoa Powder
  • ¼ tsp Baking Soda
  • ¼ tsp Baking Powder
  • ½ tsp Salt
  • Cups White Sugar
  • 2 Eggs


  • Preheat oven to 350°F
  • In a medium sized bowl, combine all dry ingredients and set aside
  • In a saucepan, bring Syrah to a boil and let reduce by half, lowering the heat for approximately 10 minutes. Set aside and let cool
  • Spray an 8 x 8 metal baking sheet with nonstick cooking spray or butter
  • Melt butter and chocolate chips together in microwave for 1-2 minutes, stir until melted
  • Add in sugar, stir until smooth, add in eggs and mix well
  • Add in the reduced wine and stir to combine
  • Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stir until just combined. Pour mixture into the sprayed metal baking pan
  • Place in oven for 45 minutes or until toothpick inserted comes out clean then set aside to cool
  • Serve with raspberries or a raspberry sauce and a glass of Syrah
  • Enjoy!
