Chardonnay Salmon

Want a buttery salmon without the butter? Check out Verde Valley Olive Oil Traders for the butter flavored olive oil we used for this months recipe! We pan seared this salmon in it, and it was a great decision!

Ingredients
  

  • 2 Salmon Fillets
  • 1/4 Cup Oak Creek Vineyards Chardonnay
  • 1-2 Cloves Garlic Chopped or roasted
  • 2-3 Basil Leaves Chopped
  • 2 Tbsp Verde Valley Olive Oil Traders Butter Flavor Olive Oil
  • Salt and Pepper To taste
  • Lemon Slices

Instructions
 

  • Pour yourself a glass of Chardonnay to enjoy while you cook.
  • Heat oil in a pan and add the garlic to sauté for a few minutes.
  • Once the oil is bubbling place the salmon skin side down in the pan and sear.
  • Sprink the basil, salt, and pepper over the top of the salmon. Squeeze some lemon juice over the tops then pour the Chardonnay over them as well.
  • Mix all the oil, seasonings, and Chardonnay in the pan and continue to drizzle it over the salmon.
  • After a few minutes flip the salmon over and sear on the opposite side. Continue flipping the fillets from side to side every few minutes until they are cooked through.
  • Remove from heat and enjoy!
