Ingredients

  • Cups Flour
  • ¾ Cups Dark Cocoa Powder
  • 1 tsp Baking Soda
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • ½ Cup Butter
  • ¾ Cup Granulated Sugar
  • ¾ Cup Brown Sugar Packed
  • 1 Egg
  • ¾ tsp Vanilla Extract
  • ½ Cup Oak Creek Vineyards red wine Your Favorite
  • 1 Bag Dark Chocolate Chips

Instructions

  • First off, pop open that bottle of Oak Creek wine and pour yourself a glass!
  • Preheat your over to 375°.
  • Combine dry ingredients into a bowl, mix with a whisk or fork.
  • In a separate bowl, blend your sugars and butter together. Depending on the type of mixer you have you may need to soften the butter.
  • Once butter and sugars are well combined, mix in the egg, vanilla, and WINE! (Not from your glass of course, keep sipping that for yourself)
  • Slowly mix in your dry ingredients until they are fully blended together.
  • Fold in the chocolate chips to your desired chip amount preference.
  • Spoon dough out in tablespoon(ish) sized balls and place on a non greased cookie sheet, about two inches apart.
  • Bake for about 8 to 10 minutes. You can test their doneness by poking the center of a couple cookies with a toothpick, if it comes out clean, they're done!
  • Place the cookies on a cooling rack, then bust into those bad boys and enjoy them with a glass of wine, the pairing is perfect!
