Job Type: Part-time (15 to 30 hours per week)

Pay: From $12.00 per hour plus tips and commissions

 

Experience/Requirements

  • Previous experience in a restaurant/hospitality setting or other wineries is preferred but not required
  • Strong service and hospitality skills
  • Ability to manage priorities and workflow
  • Good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions
  • Ability to effectively communicate with people at all levels and from various backgrounds
  • Weekend Availability is required
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time

We are looking for a new member of our team to be responsible for all aspects of the food experience we provide to our guests. As a local yet growing winery, we look to provide food pairings to complement our wines and to enhance our guests’ visit.

You are the ideal candidate if you enjoy working with a talented and energetic team, are creative and dedicated to food quality and enjoy working with the public!
In a typical week you will:
  • Prepare food plates according to our standards and recipes to ensure consistency and sufficient inventory making sure food items are properly stored and rotated.
  • Make some of the vineyard’s own recipes including hummus, fig and caramelized onion jams.
  • Maintain inventory, determine needs and create supply orders
  • Accept, unload and rotate all food deliveries
  • On Saturdays, our busiest day, be a member of the team in serving customers
 
At all times, you…
  • Maintain the cleanliness of food prep areas and follow food sanitation standards and help define the standards
  • Work in an organized, coordinated, and efficient manner, ensuring that properly cooked food gets out to our guests in a timely manner.
  • Support our wine tasting room attendants to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Be creative and offer recommendations of new food ideas and items
 
Requirements:
  • Active Food Handlers Card
  • Previous kitchen/cooking experience
  • Ability to be on your feet for a full shift in a fast-paced kitchen environment including weekends and holidays
  • A great personality, work ethic, and willingness to learn
 
Job Type: Part-time; approximately 30 hours per work over 3 to 4 days.

Pay: $15.00 per hour
