Chard Helene

This wine cocktail was inspired by the French Dessert "Pears Helene", traditionally a poached pear served with vanilla ice cream, chocolate syrup, crystallized violets and almonds.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 Bottle Oak Creek Vineyards Chardonnay
  • 3 Cups Pear Juice
  • 1/2 tsp Cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp Lavender Syrup
  • Pears sliced
  • Chocolate melted
  • Sliced almonds chopped
  • Agave Nectar to taste
  • Bamboo toothpicks

Instructions
 

  • Mix Chardonnay, pear juice, cinnamon, and lavender syrup together in a pot or crockpot and allow to simmer.
  • If you prefer the cocktail to be sweeter add agave nectar to taste.
  • Thinly slice the pears, chop the almonds and melt the chocolate.
  • Dip the pear slices in the chocolate then the almonds. Allow the chocolate to harden and use the pear as garnish with a toothpick!
